data bank : Que penses-tu du projet KOP, aussi bien en France que dans les autres pays
?
Lotfaï
: La carrière solo de Michael Jackson est un succès hors du commun. Son
talent, son génie, sa mégalomanie, sa rigueur et la plupart des personnes qui
l'ont aidé à porter tous ses projets vers le haut : ce sont tous ces ingrédients
qui ont fait de lui une légende vivante. Mais l'un des ingrédients les plus
importants reste sans aucun doute ses fans : en plus de fêter les 50 ans du Roi
de la Pop, MICHAEL JACKSON - KING OF POP est plus qu'un Best Of, c'est un vrai
hommage et remerciement envers eux. Avec ce principe de faire voter les fans et
les amateurs, Sony Music leur permet de s'impliquer dans une des phases de la

bahreïni

LONDRES (AFP) — Michael Jackson a conclu un arrangement
extra-judiciaire avec un prince de Bahreïn, qui lui réclamait le remboursement
de 7 millions de dollars (5,5 millions d'euros) devant une cour de Londres, a
annoncé dimanche soir une porte-parole de la star.
Michael Jackson
comptait se déplacer en personne pour témoigner devant la Haute Cour de Londres
dans ce contentieux qui l'oppose à cheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, deuxième
fils de l'émir de Bahreïn, avait indiqué jeudi un de ses avocats américains.
Mais alors que "M. Jackson s'apprêtait à monter dans son avion pour
Londres, il a été informé par son équipe d'avocats de reporter son voyage
puisque les deux parties étaient arrivées à un accord de principe", a déclaré
dimanche soir sa porte-parole Celina Aponte à l'AFP à Londres.
Le
chanteur "ne se présentera donc pas devant la cour lundi" à Londres, où son
témoignage était prévu ce jour-là ou mardi, a ajouté Mme Aponte.
Le
prince bahreïni réclamait devant la justice britannique le remboursement de 7
millions de dollars (5,5 millions d'euros) qu'il affirme avoir avancés au
chanteur.
Selon l'avocat du prince, Me Bankim Thanki, le chanteur
s'était engagé par contrat à enregistrer des disques, à écrire une
autobiographie et à jouer dans une comédie musicale.
Michael Jackson,
soutenu financièrement par le cheikh Abdulla à partir de 2005, a nié l'existence
d'un quelconque contrat et a assuré que l'argent perçu n'était qu'un "cadeau".
Mais il avait quitté Bahreïn en mai 2006 et a demandé un mois plus tard
au cheikh de le libérer de ses obligations, ce que le prince a refusé, selon
l'avocat de ce dernier.
Selon Me Thanki, le cheikh avait apporté un
secours financier au chanteur à la suite du procès de 2005, prenant notamment à
son compte la totalité des frais de justice, soit 2,2 millions de dollars (1,8
millions d'euros).

Michael Jackson se défendra en personne à Londres d'avoir rompu un
contrat

Michael Jackson va témoigner en personne la semaine prochaine devant la Haute
Cour de Londres où il est accusé par un prince bahreïni de n'avoir pas honoré un
contrat de sept millions de dollars (5,5 millions d'euros), a indiqué jeudi
l'avocat du chanteur américain.
Michael Jackson "a reçu le feu vert de ses conseillers médicaux pour faire un
voyage dans deux jours", a indiqué Robert Englehart devant la Haute Cour de
Londres. Il a par conséquent retiré sa requête qui visait à permettre un
témoignage du chanteur par visioconférence depuis Los Angeles.
Michael Jackson devrait arriver au Royaume-Uni dans le courant du week-end,
selon les médias. Il était initialement prévu qu'il témoigne lundi ou mardi, par
lien vidéo.
Le cheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, deuxième fils du roi de Bahreïn,
demande devant la justice britannique le remboursement de 7 millions de dollars
(5,5 millions d'euros) qu'il affirme avoir avancés au chanteur.

cheikh de le libérer de ses obligations, ce que le prince a refusé, selon
l'avocat de ce dernier.
Selon Me Thanki, le cheikh avait apporté un secours financier au chanteur à
la suite du procès de 2005, prenant notamment à son compte la totalité des frais
de justice, soit 2,2 millions de dollars (1,8 millions d'euros).
Le cheikh éprouve un "vif sentiment d'avoir été trahi", selon son avocat.
Michael Jackson dément ces accusations, arguant d'une "erreur et d'une
déformation de la réalité", selon Me Englehart. Ce dernier a reconnu la
"générosité" du cheikh mais affirmé que le contrat n'avait été qu'une "brique
d'un édifice qui n'a jamais été construit".
"Les deux parties avaient pour intention que ce contrat ne soit qu'une
facette d'arrangements pour une entreprise commune qui ne s'est en fait jamais
matérialisée", a déclaré l'avocat.
Le conseil du cheikh affirmera en revanche que le chanteur et le prince
bahreïni entretenaient une "relation personnelle étroite" et avaient collaboré
sur un projet musical: Michael Jackson aurait enregistré une chanson écrite par
le cheikh. Un enregistrement de la chanson doit être diffusé lors du procès.

vendu Neverland...
...
Mais les faits ne sont pas si simples et
évidents que ça.
Michael
Jackson a transféré les intérêts
de Neverland vers Sycamore Valley Ranch,
LLC, une entreprise dont il est le co-propriétaire.
Sycamore
Valley Ranch, LLC est une joint-venture
entre Michael Jackson et Colony Capital,
Inc.
Concrètement,
cela indique que Jackson reste en possession
de cette demeure. Plusieurs projets pourraient
être développés à
l'intérieur du ranch: hotels, parc
d'attractions, musée Michael Jackson...
Ce dernier a désormais la possibilité
de développer une ou plusieurs de
ces activités.
